About

Raised in Southern California and a love for all things Mexican food, married a handsome Greek added three children to the mix and some moves around the world and eventually put down roots in Scotland.  In the early days of our lives in rural Scotland good Mexican, Greek and some American food classics were hard to come by.  Some packet sauces were available but unfortunately they were also filled with loads of added fillers and MSG (a migraine maker for us).

This led to my test kitchen where I would experiment with different spices and family recipes to develop the tastes we craved.  As the children grew and the house was filled with teenagers and eventually university friends needing a bit of home cooking and love, Momma K’s kitchen was a popular venue for eating good food, chat, laughter and some homespun love.  Often spice packets were sent home with everyone for tasty and nourishing food to be used in simple, quick recipes.  We also produced spices and jar mixes for various charity events and wedding favours for our daughter’s wedding and Momma K’s was officially born!
